Tube Furnace FAQs
A tube furnace is a device to heat samples within a work tube. Samples are loaded in the work tube installed into the furnace for processing. Users can set parameters into the furnace controller, and then the heat elements outside of the work tube will gradually heat the samples within.
Tube furnaces are one of the most effective equipment to heat a small sample while allowing rapid temperature changes and temperature uniformity. They are widely used in conducting syntheses and purifications of inorganic compounds and occasionally in organic synthesis.
Rotary tube furnaces are popular for their efficiency in heat transfer. The continuous movement of the samples maximize their exposure to the atmosphere during processing. Compared to other models, it has one of the highest thermal efficiencies and lowest operating costs.
